Four Lives, One Faith: The Story Behind Love Sicily Tours

FOUR LIVES. ONE FAITH. ONE PURPOSE.

Some journeys begin when we purchase a plane ticket.

Others begin long before that, when God starts writing a story we cannot yet see or fully understand.

The story of Love Sicily Tours is one of those journeys.

We are Joe and Sandra, Giuseppe and Adelina—two Christian couples whose stories began in very different parts of the world: New York, Bogotá, Sicily, and Romania. Yet, in His perfect timing and in a way none of us could have planned, God brought our paths together and wove them into one story of faith, family, hospitality, and service.

Joe was born in New York and carries deep Sicilian roots. Sandra was born in Bogotá, Colombia.

God brought their paths together, and throughout their marriage they discovered that they shared not only a strong faith, but also a deep passion for travel, experiencing new cultures, and discovering the beauty each place has to offer.

Over the years, they have shared wonderful experiences, but they have also walked through seasons that tested their faith. Through each one, they were able to recognize the hand of God guiding them, sustaining them, and restoring them.

It was through these experiences that they came to understand something important: what God had done in their lives was never meant to remain only with them.

Their travels could become more than opportunities to discover new places. They could become opportunities to share hope, listen to people’s stories, walk alongside others, and testify to a God who is still at work—restoring hearts and transforming lives.

Without realizing it at the time, God was preparing the way for something greater.

Giuseppe & Adelina

While God was writing one part of this story, He was preparing another in the heart of Sicily.

Giuseppe was born on this beautiful island into a family that, for generations, has passionately preserved the tradition of sea salt production, keeping alive an authentic part of Sicily’s history and culture.

Adelina was born in Romania. When she arrived in Sicily, she not only fell in love with the beauty of the island; it was also here that she met the man God had prepared to share her journey through life.

Today, they have been married for fifteen years and are the parents of three wonderful children: Ambra, Rachele, and Gionatan.

As a Christian family, they consider it a true privilege to open the doors of their home and welcome brothers and sisters in Christ with love, simplicity, and joy.

Their story, too, is a testimony to God’s faithfulness. Throughout the years, they have experienced His grace, His guidance, and His love, learning that every season of life can become an opportunity to recognize the work of the Lord.

For Giuseppe and Adelina, hospitality is not simply a service. It is a way of living out their faith every day.

To welcome someone into their home is also to open their hearts.

Their desire is for every person who arrives to feel welcomed as a friend, heard as a brother or sister, and loved as part of the family.

When God Brings Stories Together

And that is exactly what happened to us.

From the coming together of our stories, Love Sicily Tours was born.

It did not begin simply as an idea for a travel experience. It was born from something much deeper: a desire to bring together our experiences, our roots, our hospitality, our love for Sicily, and above all, our faith.
